Behind the Scenes Heroes

OF893They planned the perfect bridal shower, threw you an unforgettable bachelorette party and can now bustle a wedding dress in under 2 minutes flat.  Who are these special people?  Why, they are the girls in your bridal party, of course. To thank this special group for all of their hard work, brides traditionally give their attendants a thank you gift at the rehearsal dinner or right before the wedding. This gift does not need to be expensive, it just needs to be meaningful. During the shower or bachelorette party, take a picture of the entire party or individual pictures with each of your attendants. Have these pictures printed out and place them into a simple or ornate silver frame. Make sure to include a note or card telling your attendant how much you appreciate all of their hard work. This is a gift that they can display and cherish for years to come. The gift should be a memento of your friendship and the special day in which they played a big part. There is nothing that can quite make up for the four hours they spent with you trying on 212 pairs of wedding shoes, but the simple fact that they did that with a smile upon their faces is what makes them so special.

Bridesmaid Gift Idea - Bridesmaid Compact

Lately, I have been addicted to finding the perfect gift for my bridesmaids and have found a lot of items I want to give them. I found a beautiful clutch, necklace, earrings and flower headpiece that matches their dress. I started adding up the cost of all the items and had price tag shock. Wow, I would love to buy all these things for them, but I don’t really want to break the bank on buying gifts for the wedding party. So, I started to do some research on how much am I suppose to spend on a gift for my bridesmaids. Any idea? The answers I found were all over the board…ranging from $25-$150 per a bridesmaid. As I started thinking about the whole bridesmaid gift concept I realized that it is not really about how much you spend on them, it’s about the thoughtfulness of the gift. Is the gift something that they will cherish forever, and always remember your friendship and wedding? Out all of the bridesmaid gifts I found the necklace from Etsy.com is my favorite gift because it is a timeless necklace that they could wear again.  As of right now my plan is to splurge on the necklace and buy simple pearl stud earrings to match, for a cost of $50 per a bridesmaid. As for the groomsmen gifts, I don’t think my fiancé has even thought about what to get the guys. Any good ideas for him? If you don’t know what to get for gifts for your bridesmaids or groomsmen, SimplyWeddingStuff.com has a small selection of wedding party gifts that any bridesmaid or groomsmen would love . The Knot also has a lot of great information on how much to spend on gifts and ideas. for your wedding party.  I love this tip that The Knot gave about wedding party gifts, “sometimes the best gift are those you can’t put in a box.”

Bridesmaid Compact Bridal Party Gift

Bridesmaid Compact When planning a wedding one of the first thoughts is what to have as wedding favors because of course you want your guests to know they are appreciated.  What about gifts for your bridal party though?  If you’re the Bride, then those you choose as bridesmaids are probably the closest people to you.  They are the girls who have been there for you through good and bad.

This Bridesmaid Compact is a very different idea for a bridesmaid gift. It’s made of chrome plated metal and has the word Bridesmaid engraved on the top. A wonderful way to say ‘thank you.’
